#1 PostAuthor: dixiethedog » Wed Feb 06, 2013 5:25 pm

Has anybody ever used fake suede to recover a bike seat before, and if they have, did they get a wet bottom?
Im wanting to recover a seat for myself, and just needing advice/tips to see if it will work,or not to bother? :D

I had one on a bike I bought and it was emblazoned with a logo and alcantra split easily, never liked it though and got it recovered straight away and sued on a bike seat always strikes me as a bit gay!

I like suede. It will look nice with my safari suit. I recall a time when me and my chums would have gay jovial nights out. I think gay means something different now. :D

This was recovered by Steve Adams.

I asked for alcantara, but he suggested we use an alternative better suited to bike seats. Don't know what it's called, but the end result was good.

I believe he also covers amongst other things, Katana seats.
