Require West Lodon Engineer to do rebore

#1 PostAuthor: Phil50 » Mon Jul 30, 2007 2:32 pm

hi All
At last it has come down to the nitty gritty. This engine is knackered. I have bought all the bits need and the last job is a rebore of 0.5mm oversize. I have the pistons and need an enginner shop locally to do the work.
West London
Ruislip
uxbridge
Harrow
Watford
etc etc
Urgent need info ASAP please
thanks all :)))))0

I know Andy.
He is on holiday and I was considering him to do the work, but I contacted a rather good car engine guy in Southall I have known for thirty years. He supplied the engine last year in my current car for half retail!!

He is reboring my head (the z900 head) as I type. The rebuild starts tomorrow. I hope to post the results. I would like to say thanks to the members for their useful tips of late.
If only I had a cam chain splitter tool I would be happy. They cost over ?40 retail, what a rip off for a tiny tool you use once every 50,000 miles!
Oh well the original is hardly worn so in it stays!
bye for now
Phil
