Not so new MII project

#1 PostAuthor: rpeters » Thu Dec 01, 2011 8:31 am

Thought i would share a few pics. Started this back in April but not in a rush!
Started with MKII frame (the engine and panels are borrowed from another H waiting to be rebuilt!). I fancied grafting on a Firelade front and rear end which isn't straightforward as i wanted to keep the battery box area free and not obstructed by the shocker mounting. This meant moving the spindle pivot rearward. The original spindle pivot will be used to mount the original Fireblade rearsets.
The other reason for keeping the battery box area clear was to accomodate the injection system parts as i was going to use a 'spare' H lump that i have. However that has changed as i have something a lot better tucked away in the garage!

Liking this a lot. I am thinking of fitting that body work to my bike. Going to have to start looking soon.
