correct factory finish for Z1000j fork sliders

#1 PostAuthor: Pasc » Sun May 13, 2007 10:25 am

I've got everything ready to got to Triple S for coating but wanted to double check the correct factory finish for the fork sliders.
Were they finished in satin black the same as the calipers ? Reference pictures I've been looking at suggest that the sliders may have a gloss finish to them. So from the factory were the sliders gloss or satin.
Cheers guys.

Hi Pasc,i've just had a butchers at my Z1000J sales brochure and the sliders do appear to have a gloss sheen to them when compared to the calipers.
Personally i'd go for gloss sliders and satin calipers :D

Jack, thats also the impression I got looking at a few pics. I wasn't sure if it was the way the light bounces off the sliders. Thanks for the swift reply.
I thought they might look nice all done in satin but while I'm not going for a full restoration at the moment I'd still like to keep certain aspects of the bike factory. If I ever do decide to do a full restore at least a lot of the work will have been done.
Thanks again.
