Tank ?

Hi bought a tank a month or so ago off a z900a4 or so I thought, but now not so sure. Its to go on my z1000a1 tried it on today and fits a treat but the petrol
cap clasp is different to mine much thinner, looks like it would of had some kind of catch to hold the cap down.
Also the under side of the tank has a cutter way either side directly above the carbs. The tap is a screw on type as mine is.

just noticed has number 1225 stamped on under side of tank where the rubber band holds the tank down, starting to think its off a early z

any idea what model its off

Stuart, this is not enough info, although it does sound as so you have an early Z1A or Z1B tank a picture would verify it.
Look for flat bottom tank with a slight bulge on the side of tank above where the pet-cock is located. Really need pic.
