USD Forks, Swap For Z1000ltd Forks

#1 PostAuthor: nigel bessant » Fri Jan 08, 2010 8:12 pm

I'm gonna change the front end on my Z1000ltd for a USD set up. Is anyone interested in an exchange, like for like? I would like the entire front from the headstock forward ie forks, yokes, calipers, discs, wheel etc. I'm not too bothered what manufacturer the front end is.
My Z has the usual factory alloy wheel. I'd need to hold on to the Z yoke for a while so I can reproduce the stem to fit to the USD yokes. I'll send it on asap.
Thanks
Nigel

Nigel, am I right in thinking that you could be described as an 'eternal optimist' :?:

If you are stuck I have a ZX9R USD forks, spindle and wheel you could have for a very good price.......

Hi, yeah I was being a bit too hopeful. I think the only response I am getting is "is he mad" . A guy on ebay is selling a H**** cb750f with a gsxr front and rear end and has the original parts too. He wants 650 for the bike including all the original parts. Might be a good buy to keep the gsxr parts and sell on the rest of the bike. pm sent

I have also have a Z1000LTD. Excellent base for a bit of 'upgrading' methinks.

I've considered buying a complete bike for parts as it can be cheaper than buying them individually. The best bet is when someone has lavished a fortune on bits only to build up something that looks like a complete dog. Good luck.
