Not a lot of progress but progress all the same.
The fairings are being fitted to make sure that they fit before the frame is sent off for powder coating, the fairings must have been from a GS/GSX/GSXR Magnum as the holes for the engine are in different places, I've asked Harris to fit deutz fasteners instead of screws just for ease and looks! The rear of the tank is being modified due to not fitting the original Magnum tail piece which usually covers the bottom edge of the tank, as you can see at the moment it looks silly, all this will be blended in. we are waiting for the Brembo discs and then these can be fitted to the modified carrier which I have opted to have anodized black, then these will be fitted to the wheels so they can make spacers etc and fit to the bike.
I think it'll be shipped after Christmas now which is a good thing as the current house project is costing a bit more than planned and taking a lot longer!

Well its finished
They now have to strip it all and box it up, I'm going to get her powder coated down here as I don't want to get it done up there and scratch it in transit, especially if I go for the chrome powder coat.
As you can see the discs are now on, side stand fitted, lower fairing modified and fitted with new dutz fasteners and the side/back of the tank has been filled.
Very happy with the results
now its a few months wait until I get it!

Haha, I've quite a few pictures of Harris and Spondon framed bike, there is not one bike the same! That's the beauty of buying a 'frame kit' especially in the 80's was to build it in your individual taste. I hated the bloody big gap at the bottom of the tank so asked Harris to fill it, the plan is to leave it bare aluminium so I have contacted them asking them is that the end result, if it is I won't be happy! Can't wait to get it over here and yes the gap in the tank will show off some lovely big carbs! Loving the new Brembo's front discs, they will look great with the billet six brakes!
Anyway there is a ZZR complete front wheel at Harris if anyone wants it!
No point bringing it over here as it will take up too much space and cost to much to bring over!

Well its being taken apart or has been taken apart and boxed up ready for the trip to the other side of the World
Its nearly been a year at Harris, that's gone quick!
Remember looking at this picture thinking "what the bloody hell have I done" lets face it I've bought a frame unseen that's on the other side of the World from a bloke I've never met, sent it to a company that I can only ring at certain times of the day or email, I can't exactly pop in to view their work in person and have to rely on pictures and what they tell me!
Its been quite an experience
Just waiting for the last couple of bits that I have bought to be delivered to Harris and then the box can get closed!
