So what your saying is go back to Z1, Z1A Chain oil pump systems! I thought the O ring chain solved that problem?

Defo not an advocate of "Scotoiler" systems, Bigmac.......

You summed it up well.... 'O' rings negate the need for them really... They are just more complication & weight on the bike....

If you wanna keep a modern chain in good nick... clean it regularly with proper 'O' ring friendly cleaner & then lube with appropriate oil

Or get an ST :P
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

Regards to the chain, if they last 10,000 or 50,000 miles not a problem just really would like to know what the life expectancy for a standard chain is? If my chain needs replacing after 10,000 miles and they normally last double then what am I doing wrong? What can i do to extend the life? Not sure I started asking this question :pist But bloody informative anyway, keep it up chaps. :up

Any chain life is dependent on the rider .... smoother acceleration & gear changes always benefit chain & sprocket life .... plus good chain maintenance
