I have to say I've never heard of it either. Be interested to hear what a tuner like Steve Debben has to say on the matter.
It's a funny thing that it's a common belief that you have to be kind to your engine by never revving it hard. You need to be cruel to be kind occasionally

Liquid glaze buster
It was Rich that put me onto it, he knew bikers who swear by it.
Yer right about being too kind to the engine, pootling around really does it no good. The Miller running in instructions are quite hard on the engine, but you have to do it to make it work, the 'gin took it though. Had some good fun in the process.
She now runs better than ever, fuel consumption is up as well, on my way back on Sunday did 142 miles and only put in about £12, work it out thats nearly 60 to the gallon, probably had a good de coke as well.
