I had posted a reply to everyone once again saying thanks to all that gave ideas along with my efforts on the bike this past week, but it disappeared :??

I should have thought about one of those tanks from Z1 when I placed my orders, but....oh well.

I have sacvenged the fuel tank from an old lawn mower that I have, but it doesn't have a fuel tap so I'm off to the hardware store to see what I can find.

Fellas, I used to use a used mower tank and found the fuel flow was crap, hanging it was marginal and I had no idea how much fuel was in the tank. I finally shouted myself a decent purpose made shop tank and wondered why I didn't do it before. Here is a link from where I got mine and for 20 pound it'll be delivered to your door.

It's easy to fill, clear to see what's in it and is just a better solution. Yeah it's 20 quid but a paid poke and a carton of piss is the same price, but at least I can get up the next morning without the headache, both my arms still there (cos I didn't need to gnaw one off to avoid waking the beer beauty beside me) and the tank will be a hanging in the garage the next day and a year later. :P KP

Here's a cpl of shots of the tank I scavenged/made. Fuel line was free and the tap and two fittings came to $18.00. I put one of my two fuel filters in line because even though I rinsed out the old lawnmower tank, I didn't want to risk plugging up the rebuilt carbs. I just held it up til the fuel stopped bubbling through the filter and then set it on the back there. It worked like a charm !! Crude, but effective

Oh, and the engine fired first push o' the button, didn't stay running though till the fourth try. The Kawasaki 4 CYL Symphony sure is music to these ears !!! :lon :lon
