Check that they are not vents - the vac take-off usually comes from one of the middle carbs. Looks to me as if you don't have a vac take off on those carbs.

They're just vents - they normally have a plastic tube on on them long enough to feed off down behind the engine like where the tubes off the float bowl overflows go. Don't think anything ever comes out of them...
