5/8 master cylinder

#1 PostAuthor: GEZ635 » Wed May 28, 2008 12:39 pm

Has anyone got a picture of an authentic and original 5/8 master cylinder showing the 5/8 stamp?. We have an original Kawasaki double disc conversion kit still in the box from years ago (offered as an optional extra at the time) and the master cylinder is definately 5/8 but has no stamping mark on the body. There is a regular seller on ebay who offers the 5/8 option (bored and honed out) and I want to see how close a match to an original they are. Heres hoping someone has a picture.

I believe the yanks made made a conversion kit , which did not have 5/8 stamped on the underside, but it wasn't quite 5/8 it is slightly smaller. looks just like the original.
i had one on a bike of mine upgraded to twin discs and it wasn't any better, until i put on a real 5/8.
zed the best ride of your life ...... so far

Of the 3 Z900's ( 1 * A4 & 2 * KZ's) I've had only the KZ's had this marking.
I bought my first Z900 at 14 months old so really untouched and I remember it vividly as I restored that one too in the end.

The NOS 5/8" master cylinder on ebay looks as though its been repainted to me def the wrong colour.
