So how do you ride anywhere decent :cheek

I've seen a few sets of old coils melted due to ignition left on when the bikes been stopped by the kill switch and rider gets distracted :??

if theres anyone in the north Manchester area willing to check it out would be good.

do you get regular sparks at the plugs when you crank it over on the starter ? if not check you have rubbed off enough of the powder coating to get a good circuiy with the coils, also measure the resistance of the coil through the plug to earth - I think it should be around 5ohm ??, possibly 3 but I stand to be put right as its from memory, check all 12v connections .

it did a weak one now and then but if I stuck a driver on the points it sparked...I put the old coil back on and the spark was mega...so I put em back on.works fine now.
