I had my brakes overhauled last year on one of my Sts and the level window in the reservoir has started weeping. I cannot find a replacement kit and even if I could not sure how to fit a new one.
Its a shame as it has leaked brake fluid all over the newly painted master cylinder and clamp.
I think replacing it is the only option but then I saw someone [ possibly a Mk2 project] had fitted a rather trick Brembo (?) front master cylinder with a remote reservoir that looked super small and tidy.
Would this work with standard Z1000 ST brakes and lines, if not what are the other options as if I replace the existing unit with another there is a chance of the very same thing happening again.
Any ideas or spare front brake master /reservoirs handy anyone?

mmm, thanks GB, got any pix? I will do a quick google search to see if I can see what they look like.
I saw a lovely small Brembo unit somewhere, thought it was on the projects forum somewhere but cannot remember for the life of me, is there anyway of saving your favourite threads anywhere /how.
Anyway , interested in the ZX7R one, just had a look on ebay and it looks like just the thing, what would it take to get it to move to a welcoming home, where it will be much loved and used carefully ?

Let me make sure I can find it first, I'll have a look in the morning & report back.

ok, Thanks for looking GB, looks like an Ebay hunt for a ZX7 or a GSXR 1000 front master then if I want the small master /remote reservoir look......
Still searching for a spare window seal and method of replacement but I figure the cost of replacement would be the cost of an ebay unit..I will put up a wanted ad just in case, thanks again, V

ive got a gpz900r which had a crazy / cracked sight glass on the clutch master cylinder, i ended up pushing the plastic one out and getting a piece of watch crystal the correct size to fit in its place, £5.00 of a local market trader in town. I used silicone to seal it in, so far so good about a year on
