Correct carb overflow pipe

#1 PostAuthor: DaveZ1 » Fri Jun 28, 2013 3:49 pm

Does anyone know the OD and the ID of the overflow pipes from the carbs? all four of mine were missing and I want to replace them with the correct size/look (or as near as dammit) as the originals. (73 Z1 BTW)
Cheers, Dave.

Dave
Take your pick...I've just measured a rock hard set that came off my 73 bike but not saying they are original and they measure 7mm OD and 3mm ID.

Thanks for taking the trouble to measure your NOS pipes Mike, thats the size I was thinking on being correct.
The best I have found on ebay is this vaccum pipe which is the right size and should be fuel resistant,

I've ordered 3 metres which should be enough for the four overflows, would be really helpfull to know the length of each as they're all different lengths if you have them off the bike mate.
I can probably guess somewhere near but it would be nice to know they're right.
Cheers, Dave
