Oil Pump Types

Can anyone please tell me the difference in the 2 oil pumps besides the obvious

Stempy, can't pick from your photo's, however, I can say that all Kawasaki Oil pumps fitted to Z1 series, Z900 and Z1000-A1 are interchangeable.
The only difference being the attachment of the gauze filter.... early ones use three screws.

No difference.
All z1/z9/z1000/Gpz11 pumps all flow exactly the same.
Pump on the right seems to have the gear on back to front though, smooth side should face the pump body.
