Gpz 1100 A3

#1 PostAuthor: firyembers » Sun May 05, 2013 11:26 am

since never having original running gear on the bike not sure how close it is to original ride height and weight distribution

Feels like its going to roll over and drop on roundabouts. :crash

Wearing disposable nappies at the moment.and no never bought any they were free samples form Proctor and Gamble/Baker Perkins when i was contracting for them in Peterborough

So dimensions please from std unitrack anyone

The centre of fork spindle to top yoke, and centre of rear wheel spindle to seat lock?? or a fixed point around there

Thanks

Gimme a day or two. my Std one is tucked away in another gareage.

Will be seeing it over the bank holiday, so will measure it all then.

I always thought the unitraks were stable and took a whole heap of effort to get turned in on roudabaouts.

be interesting to see if yours is out at all.

My GPz runs FZR600 front fork at 780mm spindle to to top yoke. Rear is 550 spindle to bottom bolt hole of grab rail. Front and rear are non standard (rear has 18 inch 750 Turbo wheel and handling is fine. Turns in a lot better than standard but certainly nothing scary

I actually lowered it 50mm or so to fit clip ons,the idea to transfer some weight to the front end, which seems a little better but not inspiring yet at low speeds.
Deffo my z9a4 was a ton better and thats 10 yrs senoir

The GPZ1100 always was a bit of a 'beast' - didn't help when loaded like this

The GPZ900R was also a ton better, and that's what replaced it - and what I moved on to in 1989
