Thats the 1015cc barrels from kickstart engines, (Z1000A1-4) not later "J" type with hy-vo chain :!:

Some 900 cases do need the mouths opening up slightly to take the 1000 liners.
Easily done by hand with a file though.

MaimoJoe, So, you didn't win the barrels, nevertheless, an interesting topic and one that's good to know!
As Zed1015 says, I have found some cases require a small amount to be machined/ hand-ground out of the mouth to allow the 1015 barrels to be fitted. I have found it mostly the Z1 cases. The Z900-A4 have mostly been OK.
It's always good to check with dowels in, before assembly to avoid all the filings in the engine when you do have to remove metal.

as I've just begun with my A4/Z1/1075 construction I can confirm the Z1 cases have to be skimmed/filed, bores in the casing are cone shaped cast so when I measured the tops with vernier caliper it looked OK, but when tried the barrels on they wouldn't go fully in, it's only about 1mm to take off so easy file job but definately not on a complete engine, on the photo two left cylinders are done
