Carb kits

#1 PostAuthor: mikey » Sat Oct 24, 2009 6:58 pm

Dont know if this should be in here or discussion forum,
bit it follows on from postings about problems i have been having,
rebuilt my carbs with repair kits from z1enterprises and the transformation
is nothing short of amazing, started on the button straight away none of the
usual spluttering backfiring and running on only 2 or 3 cylinders and once
warmed up a nice steady tick over and instant response on the throttle
and returning to tick over, not taken it for a run yet as it was pouring down when i finished it weather supposed to be good tomorrow take it out then.

Took it out for a 40 mile run this morning and its so much better
even the spluttering at 3,000 rpm has stopped
but think it could benefit from a carb balance

But it needs a dam good clean now after running round those wet country lanes

That's encourageing Mikey, might do mine over winter once i have checked the ignition timing. This company was selling Keyster kits at Stafford. Has anyone tried them?
