Chris

You must have been really pi**ed off when you discovered the problem but in the context of the entire rebuild you have pulled off - a man with your talent will overcome.

That bike is the dogs - can't wait for the first ride report.

Very nice job on the rebuild Chris. When you get the inserts in will you be using APE studs to minimize the stretch you get with the stock studs.

Well now.........
My motivation comes for 2 things:
1/. A good pair of thermals. Sorry, make that 2 good pairs of thermals and:
2/. A burning desire to see if my second engine rebuild has been successful

I'm happy to report the result is a resounding YES :lon

so far

Hi MaineKZ,

Great job on the Z1. Like you where some years ago, I am itching to do my second Z1 rebuild ground up, but I just cant't get my hands on one (Z1-B for me I think). Anyway, while I spend my life on e-bay looking for one, I would welcome a few tip's from you to finish off up my own Z1 rebuild. Can you please let me know where you got the black outer fibre insulation for the AC generator cables from and also the black rubber starter motor outer insulation?

Many thanks,

Andy
