Hi All
well I've finally got there
Fired up this afternoon and up the road a bit, all seems OK, a few more shake-down runs and hopefully off to MOT on Saturday
I know loads of you have done it but I can't wipe off the simile on my face since this afternoon so I've been trying to with beer and I don't think it's working yet
It's been a long time coming but worth it
The spec is 1170 Wiseco head ebuilt by Monsieur Debben ZX9R yolks and front calipers,R1 front wheel, braced ally S/A, FZR rear wheel/rear caliper
Mikuni's from Pigford and loads of encouragement from Zorded, thanks Al.
I've learned a bit about Zeds but realised the more I learn, the less I know.

Just hope the pics come out OK

Fair comment Brian, once I get over the initial euphoria and a MOT ticket I'll have a look at lowering it

Or get a front wheel in 19" to match the back.

Very nice looking bike BTW

Just out of interest what is the reason behind the extended side stand :?:

Hi alan,
When I first got it a few years ago it was basically standard but it leaned over too far on the side stand, the mount had twisted slightly and the worse the angle got the more weight was put on the mount, so to save heating it up and rebending/possibly weakening it I shimmed the gap made a new pivot pin and extended it so it stands at a lesser angle and doesn't put so much strain on the pivot/frame mount.
Probably the wrong thing to do but I think it worked ?
