Heat, penetrating oil and patience ash took me 3 days to undo all mine on my Z when i first got it.

Duno whether a second hand caliper wud be cheaper than trying to drill if and f**k it up maybe,
Mikey been in soak for 6 days mate, the two front were easy, its pissed me off a bit trying no to spend a great deal on it, but there again it is nearly 30 year old, :shock:

Hi Ash, my local engineering shop got one out for me using spark erosion, think it cost me a tenner, mind you it was afew years back!

Steve there's a great engineering place on my door, i may ask him, hes done loads in the past, i know better really these things happen but was just hoping i wudnt have to spend out to much,

I've bleed a couple of them by just undoing the banjo bolt...

Need caliper off... banjo joint at highest point... jobs a goodun :wink:

ash are you near to north yorks ive' a z1r rear caliper cleaned and painted
hung up in garage put your pistons and pads in its yours if it fits.

Compo i live in Leicester and thanks mate, i think the z1r is different, the st is fixed to the swingarm and not by a torque arm.
