Ok I know I you guys are saying what is a 650 Yami doing on are site. Well I'm sure there may be a few who can answer this. Take a look at the picture. I have two engines. One was locked up and after pulling it apart I found a lead plug? had worked loose and hit the rod. There are two plugs. I think they were for balancing when they cut the gear for the electric start. The 72 was the first year for the starter and I think they just used the cranks from the 71 and older. Does anyone know the purpose of this plug. Is it a problem waiting to happen on my other crank. I can get a few thous movement fron the same plugs on my good crank.
As soon as I can get this beast back together I can start on the 75 Z1900B

Have a go yerself....
Just prepare the crank & melt the lead, whack it in & hey presto
If it don't work, then you can start phoning/Googling...

This bloke did a really good job of welding and balancing my Z1000-H crank way back in 82. The fact that he's still in business after all these years speaks volumes.
