I managed to get my Zed 1000 H running and boy doesn't it sound sweet.
It hasn't run for years and was all gummed up(the fuel pump and injectors) I had the tank dipped to remove about ten years of crud and clean the tap and return valve.
She sounds sooooooo luvverly.
Now I need to sort the seized brakes, replace the tyres and give the old girl an MOT and then start saving for her restoration back to as new condition.
When I learn how to use the new camera I'll put some pictures on the site.

Nice looking bike mate. Are you taking it back to its original injection system?
I can't believe how clean and crisp the throttle response is now my engine is sorted.I used a fair bit of carb cleaner to clean up the injectors which were all gummy.
Cycleparts.Com in the US seem to stock nearly all the injection parts plus nearly everything else I'll need apart from the used Air Flow Meter that I just got through Ebay from a "G".
I need to sell some of my other bikes first before I go into the H's well deserved cosmetic restoration.
Oh,and fix the porous garage roof and none existant insulation and lack of power points and get a decent CD player for those long winter evenings and
SORT OUT THIS BLOODY COMPUTER SO I CAN SHOW EVERYONE MY BIKE.

well Harry the previous owner kindly took an angle grinder to the fork bottom's as that wheel and disc's were rubbing so he took a few mm off the inner edges
I have a standard tank, seat, tailpiece etc along with all the running gear
I hope to get it back to as near standard as possible

Nice one.
I have a 1999 edition of Classic Motorcycle Mechanics where the author(and I assume a professional would have researched the piece first ) states that ONLY 200 were imported into the UK.
I have read somewhere that the US only managed 3000 "G" models for 1980 before KAWASAKI pulled the plug on the fuel injection system (Mk1). I don't know total production figure worldwide. Maybe someone does in this club.
If its the case that the UK only had 200 then I think that these bikes may well be getting rarer and rarer by now.
Effective maintenance and a deep wallet will solve anything.

Can't be many left now, that Yoshimura pipe in CMM or the Nighthawk pipe from Z Power would really suit the 'H'.

Having seen the picture of the Yoshimura fitted on a bike I'd agree Paul.
