Hi all,

One of our regular restorers' tips features set to run in the next couple of issues will be about Z650s and we're looking for a few owners who have restored/rebuilt their Z650 to help out. It would involve a chat on the phone (or email if you prefer) and you supplying a high res photo of you with your bike to go with your words of wisdom.

We're after standard-ish bikes and we're looking for hints/tips/advice/techniques - anything that might help encourage would-be restorers to have a go themselves.

If you'd be up for helping, you can contact me via email at gingersgaff@btinternet.com or on 07875 736021.

Many thanks for any help you can provide.

All the best,

Gez Kane, Practical Sportsbikes

In the middle of restoring the B1 I bought new in 77'. Used it from 77 to 81ish then took it apart for some reason and only just getting round to start putting it back together. Everything needs refurbing. I bought a US b1 import as a doner for some of the bits that have gone astray over the years and once my original is finished I'll do something with the import. Just not sure what yet!

You already ran a feature on mine in the summer. Chris Newbigging will still have all the details and photo's Gez. It's the red Z650C1. The bike was also on the cover.

The feature was over about 10 pages and included a detailed thread on the rebuild if any of that helps :)

You might want to try over on my site: http://z650.proboards.com/

That has loads of Z650 rebuilders, some of them are immaculate
