UNLIMITED LTD - The Pigford Project

#1 PostAuthor: Pigford » Mon Oct 20, 2014 4:31 pm

So, having sold me bestest Z1000A2, and having finished me Harris, it's time to start a winter project. With a wodge of cash in me pocket from the A2 sale I ventured onto eBay, and within minutes found a likely bike....... a 1980 Z1000 LTD (B3/4?).

Here it is safely back in my garage:

She runs but the clutch is seized at present. The seat & exhaust will be going, as with the hi-bars & paint set. A better Z1000 front end & a JMC alloy s/arm will be stuffed in along with some decent wire spoked wheels (18" + 19").

The plan is to fit some of my "stash of Zed parts" and turn it into a proper Zed

I dropped a set of Zed Thou wires off at Stafford with your A2 buyer, which I believe are now for sale...

Looking forward to seeing what you make of this Mark.

I've been hoping to do another LTD conversion myself, very under-rated models and easily converted to look like a proper zed.
