haven't been on here in a long time had to sell my last gpz1100 as my leg has give me pain since my crash in 2012.well after three ops on my leg and knee I feel I could start another project to keep me busy.
well today I bought a Kawasaki z1 that had been sitting in a barn for 9 years
from what I can tell it has a gsxr usd front end with zzr1100 wheels.a deep braced jmc mono shock arm.
I know the history of this engine as it was blue printed and had work done on the crank and rods and different cams fitted and was used in a side car outfit many a year ago.
as you can see it needs a lot of work and stripped and rebuilt.
thing to change are a set of renthal bars and risers.
change the rasket rear sets to something more adjustable to suit my leg.strip and rebuild the engine ,I also got a bank of rs flatslides with it which will need rebuilt.so I will be starting a rebuild in the projects section when I start. cheers Stephen

sorry stevo1100, it's just my 'sarcastic whit'
I hereby publicly apologise if I caused offence, that was not my intention :smak

as for the bike, you'll have noticed from lots of previous posts that I prefer a well modded z.
I think you have a brilliant starting point, as most of the 'mods' had been done. You just need to bring it back to life with a bit of 'pizzazZ'. Good luck with the project.

cheers feddy :D
