Hi Guys,
New to the forum and in the process of re-comissioning my Z1b US import.
Here's a couple of pictures:
Currently looking for a fork piston ring, part number 44025-005 - does anyone have a spare I can buy?
Will keep you updated with me bringing this old 'gal back to life.

Or a moto-x ?
Looks pretty tidy James, welcome to the addiction. You didn't ask for my advice but this is the internet so I'm going to give it anyway. Try to resist the temptation to 'over' restore it. There are so many bikes that have had the living daylights restored out of them it's nice to see one in good nick but properly aged and original.

Thanks for the welcome guys.
This will be a gentle recommissioning rather than a restoration. I prefer orignal bikes over restored ones.
So the paint will be left as-is (bar a little paint correction) and I have the original takasago back wheel so that will go back on in place of the 16" harley rear wheel.
The bike was purchased from the original us owner who had the 'chopper' mods done from new (slash cut pipes, extended forks). The 16" rim was added later.
I've just cleaned the carbs as they were badly varnished from years of stale fuel.
New fork stanchions will be going on, once I've located a fork damper piston ring.
New carb kits, manifolds, new oil & filter, new tyres, brake hoses etc.. Oh and some new 4-4 Doremi exhausts when I can afford it next month..
Other than that will remain un messed with.
Will keep you posted on progress.
James

Ha ha thanks for the welcome and encouragement.
Yes, extended fork tubes currently fitted. Have new stanchions about to go on but have a broken damper rod piston ring.
