What! Is the summer over already? I've just completed my z1000j with a twist! I bought it as a vandalised (literally) streetfighter at the begining of the year and seem to have missed all the summer events.
Its got a Gpz1100 B2 motor, braced swingarm, zx750 rear wheel and 17" spoked front wheel with twin 320mm discs and gpx twin pot calipers.
I know the purists will howl but so much had already been done to it that I knew if I went down the original route it would be in bits in the shed for years. The only fly in the ointment is that it doesn't rev above 3000rpm at the mo. At least I've got all winter to get it sorted!

I for one think thats 'the way to go', cracking bike
As for the front mudguard, better turn it round

or the old gits will start over-loading

Sacralidge - you've put the front mudguard on the wrong way round

Check timing as well as needle / slide lift.

As to front mudguard. I had to cut the front down as it had a huge chunk taken out of it. If anyone has a suitable replacement I would be interested! PS Many thanks for all the advice over the past months.

Also looking it at it you do appear to be right. I just put it on the way it was before!
The front wheel assembly and brakes are an absolute nightmare to get on and off. Cheers!
