Whilst looking for some parts for the Rickman on e bay I happened across this KH250 Ian Dyson replica. Having owned one from new in 81 I thought I would have a closer look. Sod me if it didn't turn out to be my bike. Doefull eyes to the wife and all that bid goes on and after a long wait I won her back. Just been delivered today. Thought I would post an original picture of me with her in 81 and a picture today and Yes before anyone mentions the hair I was a Billy Idol fan back then. Shes in a right state so it will be a complete strip and rebuild, even the front mudguard is on back to front! The bike still as the original number plate with Bol'dor Motorcycles logo at the bottom. I worked there when I left school and drooled over the bike before persuading the old man to sign the loan forms. Then 1 year later part ex'd her against a Z650.

No Steve not far in 26 years. I part ex'd her with a bike shop in Barton on Humber in the days of the Ferry. So she just seems to have done the rounds locally. She was last on the road in 1991 as the tax ran out Dec 91 and the DVLA has the liability down as 1st Jan 1992. So she's been sat un used for 16 years. Mileage is showing as 16k. Been a while since I have stripped a triple motor but hopefully it will come back to me as I work on her. The pipes are Microns now but when I sold her she had Allspeeds on. The bodywork needs some repairs but Spraybay will sort this out.

How did you know she was from Malton, did you see the add or do you know the last owner.

Cheers Ed,

The memories it is bringing back already makes me feel VERY OLD! I have sent an e mail to my old mate who had a KH250 with the FLF kit on with a Metalflake Metalic blue paint scheme. If I can find a picture of them together I will post it on this thread. After the Moto Martin I don't think Joanne had the heart to tell me no, even though I know she thinks its UGLY. I think most people prefer the look of an original KH250, but beauty is in the eye of the beholder and to its :drool at first sight even after all these years.

No missed out on the Z1000R I bid ?1300.00 but he declined the offer. Did not think it was worth any more than that with it needing a paint job at the very least.

What a result, although hair is lost forever a bike is not always lost forever.Good luck in getting back to original.

In both photos you seem to be grasping your manhood. Is it truly an erotic experience being a KH owner?

Blue smoke and banshee wailing the neighbours will not know what hit them.

As for the sexual innuendo I am lost for words!!!

Must be subliminal (whatever that means)

Been fantastic sat on the bike today bringing back memories. To think simple things like I last looked at the speedo 25 years ago!!!
