Project number two.
More pictures later but my original raked frame Z1A and original engine that I have loved for the last 36 Years is being resurrected.
So far...
Mangnusson supercharged engine.
Koenig wheels
Kosman yolks and club foot swing arm.
Murray pro spider pipe.
Not quite so long and not quite so low as the turbo as there is a distinct lack of grounf clearance on the right hand side with the blower drive and the sidewinding pipe.
Here is the motor when it arrived fresh from the USA from a competition bike.
Don't worry the colour isn't remaining!!

Looks good with or without if it doesn't limit the steering (get rid of the yellow paint though

)
I dumped my Mallory due to the lack of atd although you can fit an electronic retard.
If you plan on running daytime only a self generating ign on the alt side like the electrex would do the job although you'ld lose the leccy start.

be best running the charger of the clutch and the mag of the crank tucked in behind the block,or modify the charger mounting bracket and put the mag behind the block again with a double drive if poss,or you could always lower the mag down, you gunna run a carb or injection,if so youl need another drive

The supercharger is an original Magnusson and was designed to be crank driven. Jerry Magnusson (the founder of the company that now make OEM blowers for Ford and others) actually called me after I made enquiries in the USA about some technical data. His head office had never heard of a Kawasaki blower but when he heard he called me an we had a great chat. He is retired but was into Zeds and was interested in what I was up to.
I wanted one of these in the late '70's and even still have the advertising and tech data still in the envelope from Magnusson in the USA.
I'll get around to scanning it in and will post on this thread.
The mag is going but mock up is a little more together today.
The colours are going to be Z1A orange and don't forget this is an original UK bike so should have a long rear mudguard and chrome discs on the forks .....;)

Pete, think you will need very rear, rear sets.
