Moto Martin KR1000 kinda replica.....

It's almost 3 years to the day that I purchased my Moto Martin and since then it has sat in the garage untouched. Having nearly finished my Z900 (pics coming soon) and now at a point where I am sat waiting for bits to arrive I need something else to do so why not start the Moto Martin.
Catalyst was going to Goodwood this year and seeing KR750 going up the hill plus the lovely Harris on the Kawasaki stand. I've always loved the endurance racers from the 1980s so thought why not use my frame as the basis of my own KR1000.
For those who have not seen it before here is the bike as it rolled in to the garage. Last tax disc expired 2002 and it is a non runner.
Engine turns over and has compression, but no spark. Guess it could have something to do with this
This is pretty much consistent of all wiring across the bike so all destined for the bin.
Got sharing messages with a guy called Frank Stenke who trades on eBay as Classic Performance in Germany. He races a Moto Martin in the classic series over there and makes replica bodykits for 1970 and 1980 specials like Egli etc and we did a deal on a KR1000 body kit off eBay which saved me a huge wedge. Huge box arrived this week so quick mock up to inspire me
Kit comes with screen and all the graphics. It will need a little fettling as the Martin brackets dont quite align but looks simple. Original Martin bodywork carefully boxed and put away for safe keeping still in its metallic purple period finish.
I have an engine on the bench to use and build should be just cosmetic and refurb so thinking not too long to knock this one out. Stafford is the target!
