Some of you may have already seen these photos in the `discussion` section of the forum.

I acquired this bike as a box of bits from a chap that failed to sell it at Stafford about six years ago....sorry it's taken such a long time to post, but I thought after six years with very little progress you would have all got fed up by now !!!

I've wanted to build an `Old Skool` Zed dragbike since watching the likes of Brian Johnson / Graham Nash and, of course, Buzzard at the Pod in the late 70's and early 80's.

Still loads to do...it'll probably take me another six years !!!...

Simon of `Flying Tiger Paintwork` (he's on this site) delivered my paintset last Friday...the bloke is a genious!...unfortunately, what doesn't come across in these photos is the metalflake in the wine red candy, on the top, and the tangerine below the stripes...in the sunlight it looks the dogs!!!! Anybody contemplating getting either a custom scheme or replica paintjob done...Simons your man.

I'll keep updating as I go....as you can see there is a big hole where the carbs should be...depending on how silly I go with engine internals will dictate what carbs I run.

Now all you have to do: Make it go as fast, as it looks at a standstill at the moment

That's how a modified bike should look.

It's a beaut.

Jumbo...rear rim is a Morad 17" x 5.5" wide laced to an original Z1000 hub fitted with a Michelin `Power One` 180 section tyre.

Here's a photo of my outrigger plate I machined housing the 5/8" offset sprocket and support rod into an internal bearing....trying to measure for all the fixing holes, clutch and bearing positions was a nightmare...but I'm pleased with the result.
