Lost start this make over in meltdown so up to speed with a few pics.

Forum member Brian bought and left to rot this 73, few late nites we bought her back to life, appears to be low mileage so no big mechanical works except dreaded broken alternator rotor key way and good tidy up.

Thankz to Al Marshall and Gez for gauges refurb (stunning work).

Great transformation RGH :up . Those late nights, hard work and TLC have certainly paid off.

Summers just around the corner for you to 'get out an' about' on it as well!

The Z1 looks beautiful, my favourite colour too :D

I like the Z1r colour scheme, reminds me of the original SR650.

Great bikes guys - and the weather looks excellent too - compared to the summer we have just had over here
I think the before pics were the most corroded I have seen on the bikes over there, were the bits restored or replaced??

Yes all legal Rich, not sure what plates you guys have avai but in Oz it's endless combination/colors, as can be seen Brians a serial plate man has a few personal plates, just needs an A4 and get his 77 and 78 finished and bingo full set.

Bike stood in UK for some years that explains the bad state. Oz bikes are usually flogged out, bent or busted due to long distances travelled and all year round riding with our weather, in the 70's I rode my Z1 and Z1000 for bout 6 years before I purchased a car, that was to work, pubs, takin the bird out and holidaying.

Combination of restored and replaced, we really suffer over here for good sevices, few and far between and wait for ever.
