As you can see from the photos it has some (IMHO) very good points it did however suffer a bit from neglect having being sat untouched in the garage for the last few years. The previous owner seemed to spend 3/4 of his life travelling the world and I can well see why he sold it - he really had no time !

Went to look at it and
1) dead battery
2) lightest hydraulic clutch ever - why ? - no fluid
3) leaky cam cover end caps.
So second look and the guys mate has fitted a new battery and bled the clutch - starts, charges and rides (well up and down his road as its not UK registered). Exchange cash for paperwork and load it onto the trailer.
having got it home I had a closer look at it to see what fettling is needed.
First off - pump the tyres up, then camcover off and fix the weeping end caps. Check cam clearances while its off - all good - wow. (actually the engine was supposed to have been completely rebuilt - it certainly sounds sweet enough)
Fresh petrol and a set of new plugs and its start on all 4 and runs better - progress.
Now need to get it on a stand to adjust the chain - slack as worn knicker elastic and rattles when ridden. New ABBA stand, remove rearsets to get to the swingarm pivot and up she goes.
and.....wobbly back wheel !! - nut loose. Just as well I did this before riding it for an MOT !!
30mm socket, torque wrench and its now tight. Chain done (once i'd worked out how) and its no longer rattles when ridden. - more progress.
another installment tomorrow (unless its all too boring) when I do some more to it........ target run is skeggy and its needs insurance, an MOT, registering, taxing etc etc
