Rims

Picked these up from griffs today, going on my Z1000A2
just fancied a change from chrome
maybe ive done to many just recentley
Just got to get them re built now with stainless spokes

Is that Powder Mikey? What sort of nick do the wheels need to be in to have that done well? Paul J

Thanks lads, yes paul it is powder coating, condition dont really matter as they are blasted before hand though i did linish the outer edges on mine as they had some deep tyre lever marks in them.
Will post some pics when they are built up got to save some pocket money up though

mikey what happened to the rear wheel ,thought you were getting the outer ring plated?

I put in the thread on the subject of getting the hub ring plated couldnt get a good enough seal between the steel ring and the alloy of the hub.

Those rims/spokes will really make it stand out from the crowd, i have seen it on a couple of old Brit and Harley bobbers, if i had wirewheels i think i would follow your lead

Purchased a z1b with black rims already fitted and I must agree they do look good
Didn't like them to start with but they have grown on me

Can this be done successfully to a pair of rusty rims after blasting ?? probably cheaper than buying rims and makes a change.
