I found this tucked away in one of my secret storage sites, and decided to pull it out,for the 1st time in 10 years! This bike used to be flour pink, with the logo's of an adult entertainment shop emblazoned across the tank! Very tasteful, not!!!

1260 big bore, usd kawasaki front end,zx9r rear wheel, one off swingarm with lockup struts, big valve head. I cant decide to simply restore it back to roadworthy condition,as is,or do a 330 backend on it with lengthened r1 forks?

Forks currently fitted to a z650 hiding in the corner (oil cooled suzuki motor though).

I post this in general discussion, purely cos,i wasnt gonna do a project thing here with it,however, now its here,i might as well continue?
At my age,i do wish i could simply just buy/rebuild something sensible and normal, and not have stuff that sticks out like a turd in a swimming pool!
I'll keep you posted as work starts/progress'.

Thanks for that nano,i do wish i had that much enthusiasm for it myself! Ive a spare 6inch zx7 rim or two,so im going to get it widened to 8inches,fit a 210 metzeler tyre, fit a new offset sprocket, and make an outrigger bearing support. That should give some road presence for people following behind. In the mean time battery's flat on laptop, and i dont know where the charger is.....

Hey Dixie....
Done a few GSX specials myself over the years, and am in the middle of doing another now.!
I always seem to end up doing the ugly buggers... the EX/ET style bikes.
Usual stuff, 1200cc bore kit, EFE head conversion, shorten the ridiculously long bec ebd by 5 inches, fit decent (though Suzuki) running gear, and have fun.
This one I did about 3 years ago..... the one I'm presently doing will probably be a copy of this as it looked so good.

Be nice to see yours when it's finished so keep us all updated.
