managed to get my alloy parts back from the vapour blaster. He has done a stunning job.Thankfully the bike has suffered next to no corrosion to the parts that normally have pitting such as the crankcases and frame.I think this might turn out a nice one

So..This week i have dropped the parts off to be re-zinced.I have dropped the chrome off at the platers and have had all the black cycle parts and body kit chemically stripped. This way i can do any repairs to the parts including the mangled headlamp ears before painting.

Tomorrow i am going to drop the body kit and decals off at the painters

Have a done a little more today.I have fitted the bottom yoke and the coils and clamps. The chrome being away will slow the job down from now on but i should be able to rebuild the engine and renovate the controls.I have posted this pic as i love how the gloss black contrasts with the passivate and clear zinc.....oh and check out the early s1 airbox!!! bwoooooar
