Good Luck :!:

It doesn't look too bad, reasonably clean. Should be a nice little project :)

Hope to restore it back as nature intended, stripping it down at the moment which is the easy bit i guess. has less than 2000 miles on the clock and 1 owner, how they get to this state i do not know!? lots of bad bits to sort out but funny enough the inside of the tank is immaculate. Will keep you posted on progress.

Nice one Ade,we will have to compare notes, contacts etc.how far have you got with yours and is it all complete ie nothing missing.? Main thing that worries me is sorting the pipes out will definetely have to replace one but hopefully the others can be salvaged.

Don't get me wrong I really like these bikes - I owned one for a couple of years and passed my test on it......... but If you are going to do one up from scratch you might as well have the 400 and for the same effort - get alot more performance.
But it is still a very nice looking bike, argueably the best looking 250 ever -and I look forward to seeing the progress.

I popped a dent out like that with the use of an air line at the local petrol garage using the rubber foot of a cycle rack with a hole through the middle. I about shit myself when it popped out though as it was a massive bang.
A ken fit like!

the 400 only done about 5mph more than the 250 given the choice id rather have an s2 350 which would eat the 400.but at the end of the day the bottom end is all the same so just swap barrels n heads job done

first off in my opinion all triples are worth restoring  the 350 is the most potent with 45hp(although those are kawasaki horses :P ) and a 250 can be converted to a 350 by fitting the barrels, pistons, heads, carbs and pipes. The 400 is not a straight conversion from a 250 as the crankcase mouth is larger on the 400,but can easily be machined. The 400 is the best alround triple without doubt and is torquey and is quite a sweet handler to boot. :D
