Just thought Id post a few pics of two of my recent restos. One is a UK z1a and the other is a european z1b. The bikes in the pics were just waiting for some little touches(cable ties etc) before going off to their new owner. The bikes in the background are two 73 z1s that I am just starting( for the same guy) .The clocks in the pictures were done by Chris Rivett and I think you will agree they look amazing. Hope this works

Very nice looking Zed's there! I'm now starting to think about getting Chris to do my clock's for me, I was hoping to get away without doing this but they are looking a tad weary compared to how the rest of the bike is coming along.

Fantastic Bikes Gez, the owner must be well chuffed.
How much does Chris Rivett charge to refurb clocks? and can he fix fluttering speedo needle (assume some kind of damper needs attention).

Give Chris a ring John, the fluttering needle shouldn't be a problem.
I have sent you a pm.

the bikes look a real dream. its really great to get another 2 back on the road in prime condition, they should last forever with care.
i have a z1b and have just had the front end done this winter. it looks fantastic. i took it to work today for the first time since last summer. babies in their prams were reaching for sunglasses to stop the glint from the chrome. unfortunately, u can now see the other bits that need doing.
still, getting old has a few compensations, one of them is having a bit of money to throw at your bike.

				Oooo, clean......shiny!
Mate, they look great! a credit to ya.
Are the fork bottoms just polished or laquered?
By the way.....your bleeder valve cap has come undone.
