GS1000S

Just picked up a complete GS1000S project the guy i bought it from had been working on it for five years buying all new nos parts,he just gave up as he has a collection of over 40 other bikes. The bike just needs assembly i am a happy bunny will post pic's soon.

Look forward to seeing pics davy got a real soft spot for any GS1000 had one meself for 13 years till it got nicked great bike, got another GS now as a winter hack 650 shafty

Been looking for a thou'S for months, a chance meeting with an old work mate last week we were yapping about old bikes i said i had a couple of GSthou's and was looking for a S model he told me about this one, went to see it and was blown away with the GS, engine fully rebuilt with 1050 kit frame all recoated wheels refurbed complete set of new bodywork plus two new seats etc etc, and all the original parts, all for less than the price of a tatty Z THOU :lol: :D :shock:

Hi all,
I too am a great fan of the GS1000, I had the E and the S, blue and white, I been hinkering after another GS for years, and manage to buy one couple weeks back of E-Bay, for 500 qiud, and well please I am, going to take it apart and repaint it, everything is good on it and no crash damage, here it is,

GS1000's represent excellent value for money and don't look like they will ever fetch the sort of money Zeds do.
Don't know why, as arguably, [and i know i'm going to get flak for this], they are a better bike than the Z1000/Z1R.

What a bargain Andy, that looks a tidy bike anyway. The GS was renowned for better performance and handling even if Suzuki did copy the design of the motor :shock: :shock:

Must admit the cam chain running gear on a GS1000 is a whole lot less complicated.

No Phil, they are better than Z1 / Z900.

Anyone will tell you that the Thou` is better than the 900 :!:

Paul its white and red no pic's at mo waiting for the bike to be delivered,I have a mate up here with a blue one he has had since new so it will be my template to build this one.
