Finally got everything from Japan.

Got home some more goodies today.

I ordered some front brake discs from ISR Brakes a while back but when I got them, they had mixed up some measurments so they didn't match the wheels at all so I had to send them back and they had to make some new hubs for the discs.

A few weeks later and here they are.



Lovely looking discs.



And here are two more shots of the carbs. Almost my favorite part of the bike now.



The carbs are supposed to be put together by JB Power (tuning firm in Japan) so hopefully they'll work straight out of the box without much tuning.



Gonna try and get some work done this weekend on the bike. Maybe fit the Pingle fuel tap to the tank. I'll either make a bolt-on adapter or weld a short tube with the proper thread to the tank. We'll see.

On my old MK II Sprinter I got hold of a nut to suit the Pingel and had it brazed onto the tank so it cleared the carbs (VM33's).

I'm looking at doing something similar, only making the stuff myself.

Find a tube of suitable inner- and outer diameter, thread it inside with the correct NPT-thread that Pingle uses (stupid thread), weld said stump of now threaded tubing onto the tank where the fuel tap is supposed to go. Hey presto!

Refurbished the fully floating disc that came with the rear wheel. The center for the disc was re-drilled a couple of times and looked terrible, plus it had a pretty big offset which we had no use for on this bike when using an old GSXR rear caliper. Gonna refurbish the buttons a bit then hit the center with the blaster and get it painted up.

Only a few hours of work so much better than paying £100-150 for a completely new disc.

Thanks for the kind words guys. Unfortunately, this is about the extent of my abilities with the lathe, which is good enough for most bike-related stuff.

Made this today. A fitting for the Pingle fuel tap. Just need to cover the holes and weld it up.
