Pretty much finished the electrics tonight. Can't really put the coils on until I've finished farting about with the cams.
I've been feeling bad about using my professional camera for playing in the workshop, so bought a cheap point and press jobby small enough to go in the pocket. Tested the electrics and decided that the clocks looked pretty lit up and then realised that photographing them was beyond a digital box Brownie so grabbed my D2Xs and a tripod took the shot, undid the mount ... and you guessed it .. dropped the fucker on the floor
Luckily it bounced off my feet and the UV filter broke it's fall and the camera and lens survived - not so the filter. (any one got a job lot o 77mm filters
)
Sadly I don't think the result justified the damage nor the risk
The rest are taken with the point n press effort.
proof the loom worx
pity I couln't get any of the coulred plug/sockets, but I did put a lot of effort in, before giving up.
Loom correctly routed now

Because I was too tight/skint to buy the three pipe kit for the front brakes when I replaced the pipes with braided, there is no connection to the brake light switch manifold so the pipes were a bit wavey around. I previously tethered the pipes with cable ties, but this time I have machined a clamp from some scrap ally kicking around the workshop. I would have preferred stainless, but I didn't have any the right size.
Here's the final result -
I popped the tank and seat on to see what it's going to look like. The project is now nearing completion. Just waiting on a few bits. Need to make some pins for the rear footrests outta stainless. Which I'll do this weekend. I need to make a hangy down stop bit for the centre stand as the original one was part of the exhaust bracket which is now redundant. I might try and make that part of the new exhaust bracket I will need to fabricate outta my favourite metal! Here's how it's looking now:

Put the tank badges in the dishwasher, having had a sucsessful experiment with the cheaper side panel badges and so have decided to use the originals on the basis I am skint and they look a million times better for the dishwasher treatment!
The painter had nicely filled the screw holes with paint so I carefully redrilled and tapped 'em. Noo bother!
