The end plan is a decent looking zed I can call my own and say I did that
I was talking with my dad the other day about making the switch gear a bit more simple since I'm not going to fit indicators
Powder coat frame and associated parts
Paint the engine ( after I replace the head gasket leaking oil )
Polish the swing arm
And run with the twin shock set up as I'm feeling the retro stance it's got
Quickly checked the wheel alignment this morning
Looks like it's 12mm out I've got to shove the wheel over 6mm to the sprocket side to counter act that
Then get the chain in align the best I can .
Does any body run a 520 pitch chain for more clearance ?

Think I've nailed it now
15mm offset up front
One last look before I stripped down for powder coating
Engine out GOD DAMM THESE ENGINES ARE SO HEAVY !!
Only time il ever do a wheelie on this bike
This is it NAKED
That's it so far got the frame powder coated got a few more bits to be done that I didn't have at the time ..
Got a box full of nuts and bolts to go off to our mikey as soon as I've finished with it .
Wheels need to be sprayed or powder coated
Forks need new seals and oil and the lowers need spraying
Got a blown rear shock only found out when I removed the springs
All the body work needs doing also gotta move the fuel tap on the injection tank as it fouls the flat slides :-/
Then that leaves the engine got a head gasket to do going to use a comitec gasket I think and new stem seals relap valves
A friend suggested I remove the barrels and have them de glazed ??
Was thinking of doing a full strip and and vapour blast and 2 PAC the cases for a nice look . Whilst I'm in there check and replace the worn out items like cam chain etc ......
This is a BIG shit sandwich I've taken a bite out of here ;)

Shit sandwiches sometimes tun into black forest gateau.
If youv'e still got the frame; have a good look and tap around the LHS lower frame rail around the side stand mount etc.
Have a look at the sidestand mount as they part company from the underside of the frame rail.
When the frame is vertical the top surface of the SS mounting bracket should be horizontal.
Tap the side panel lugs out by an eigth of an inch (3 mm for the young uns
).
New rubbers seem to hold the side panels against the newly painted frame and scuff the paint progressively away.
Take a look at the bottoms of the foot rest mounting brackets too if you have time.
Mine were perforated beyond repair and had to get some and weld in.
Another area to check is the headstock. They can also go there (CRACKS) i am told but not seen it on mine or others like it.
Gas mark 4 for 40 mins no longer!!
