GPZ1100B1 WINTER TIDY UP READY FOR SUMMER
Moderators: KeithZ1R, chrisu, paul doran, Taffus
Its been a bit slow on the project these last few weeks as work has been manic in the run up to the end of the year. However I finally managed to get the rolling chassis back togeather as below.
The wheels still need a good clean and polish but the new bearings and tyres are fitted so I will clean the wheels in situ.
Next up I need to do some work on the engine and hope to have it ready to put in the frame early Jan.

Padders, it's looking very good. It's been well worth the effort.
It looks like you have gone for a gloss finish for frame / cam / timing cover etc. What are you going to do with the cylinder block and exhaust? I’m a bit new to this and I was wondering where you would use a gloss/matt/satin finish...

The exhaust will be painted satin black and the block just given a clean up. I am resisting doing a full restoration on this one hence I have not repainted the wheels and have gone for powder coating on the covers rather than black chrome.
Just looking to have a tidy looking bike that I will not worry about getting dirty.

looking good ian ! it would look good in lawson colours

Not had much time on the bike during Xmas however Ted popped round this morning and gave me a hand putting the engine back in the frame. Cheers Ted appreciate it.
Sorted out the helicoils for the 4 outer cam cover bolts plus one for the sprocket cover.
Will get on with the wiring over the next week or so plus the exhaust and injection system.
