I will go for TLR swing.
Only wish I could hear something from cheshiremotorcyclesalvage.com, trying to confirm the order since the money have been withdrawn to the account.

And they don't response on E mail, and the other E mail address they have don't exist any more... Hmmm.

Thanks, I am waiting for more paint, and then the rest of the engine is gonna be gold, or "Bright Brass" as the real Gun Kote colour name is.
But it is GOLD.

And there is one more (a secret still

I am a twisted detail freak, cant help for it.

They were out of stock for the TL1000R swingarm at Cheshire Motorcycle Salvage , so I will look around for it elsewhere, is there any other options that someone knows about where I still can use the wheels from Hayabusa
Today I sent the triple trees to US, for to change the stem, a qualified machinist, a member on KZR site volunteered to do it, and thank you
since that was a hell of a problem here in Norway
I think the Norwegian government has brainwashed them all...when the word vehicle was mentioned none would do it, for security reasons...as they said.
I only pay for the shipping, and that was not that much.

AA, its lovely weather, before I go out for a walk, I will show what I have done last days, everything goes slow now, lots of other stuff to do, but things are moving right direction!
531blackbanshee from the KZRider.com forum is machining my Hayabusa triple tree as we speak (!) to fit the Z1000J, thanks my friend!
Lovely weather here now, weeeeeeeee :silly:
Oki, here are some pictures, first of some old scruffy engine cover, trying to save them, just as an experiment.
Using this epoxy to remove the marks.
And after, painted with Gun-Kote.
Its hard to take picture close on gloss black, but I think I have to sandblast and epoxy this cover again, seems that the epoxy shrink a little bit because of the heat in the oven, so you can see some old marks through the paint. Only tiny, but...
Oh yes, almost forgot my engine half, only one left now to sandblast and paint.
(Before I do the same with the 1000R engine, only the color there will be GLOSS BLACK!).

Roy its looking good my friend i was going to say ,what were you doing with the engine covers as polishing could have brought them up nice but you have already sprayed them ....and they do look good .i can see me buying a blast cabinet now ....haha
zedsrus:"i don't know man ,i just got here myself !!"
Looks good.
The epoxy will shrink as you heat it, try leaving it proud, heating it then flatting it down to paint which should shrink the epoxy before painting. If you put more then one layer of paint on don't flat down between coats as the epoxy will expand as it absorbs the thinners from the paint and then contract after it has dried leaving a mark as per the casing.

Its really a good investment that blasting cabinet!
Every little tiny detail can be blasted without any question.
But of course, you have to do something with the part after. (paint)
Its just space enough in the cabinet for the engine half, and even less space in the oven for the engine half.

Yes thanks,

The thing with this paint is that its no precoating, and no sanding between the coating, its preheat the part, and then spray the paint on until its covered with paint, then straight in the oven, before the paint is cured in the oven you can just remove it with thinner.
But after its cured, you can soak it in thinner, or brake fluid, or whatever, only grinding or sandblasting will remove it.
