Update on my progress NIL :x It seems the bearings for the swinging arm are not available to fit the 16mm spindle so the old ones must have been machined to fit.
My options seem to be, have the new bearings machined to fit the spindle again or have the spindle machined to fit the bearings or buy another swinging arm .
As the bearings I have are easy to come by I am having the spindle machined to fit them.
I may buy another swinging arm later on . I wanted a JMC deep braced ally one but they seem hard to come by and people that have them spare don't want to part with them :(

Well it's been a while since I updated this post but things have progressed a bit now. The disc bolt holes for the front wheel have been "Helicoiled" so all take M8 bolts. The swinging arm front spindle has been modified to fit the bearings as well so I spent yesterday afternoon putting it back together. :D [imgImage][/img]
