Had an email back from Oliver at Harris Performance.........

Hi Mark,

The Magnum 1 and 2 are virtually identical but your frame is the Magnum 1.

I have sent you an appropriate dating letter.

I see a single sided arm has been fitted. Looking at your shock position and angle you may have difficulties finding a shock spring firm enough to make it work. It will need to be approximately double the stiffness of the original Mag 2 spring. I would estimate at least a 150Nmm spring would be needed, maybe more.
A rough method for calculating required spring weight is to measure the shock length when the wheel is on the ground, then measure the shock length when the wheel is at full bump. This gives the shock stroke. The required spring rate in N/mm is approximately 5000/stroke.
And on the 7th day... Zeds were created!

As luck would have it, the front wheel came with the axel - and it fits straight on my ZZR1100 forks :P Just need to make an extra 12mm spacer as I won't be using the speedo drive.

Unfortunately (and you probably won't believe me) one of the disc carriers has taken a "whack" and the disc has a 5mm run-out now :?? SO I may just have to have 1 x disc up front

Not much progress as I've been in Azerbaijan earning rebuild tokens!!

That Green Beautie made me have a rethink about making do and men tho!!!!What a well built machine. I would love to see it without the tank & seat.
