I have Cyd my Z1000 booked in for the MOT this week, so fingers crossed, I have done the fuel leak, and rebuilt the fuel tap, and fitted new fuel pipes and clips. I have also done the sprocket nut up, as it was only finger tight!
I have asked the shop to have a look at the carbs for me while it is in, but I am thinking of buying some of those 29mm Keihin carbs Z-Power sell, I wonder if they would be suitable for general road use?

MOT PASSED
Well after all the traumers of yesterday, things have taken a turn for the better today, I was up at six to rebuild a set of carbs I had here, and I do mean rebuild, throttle valves, float needles, main, pilot, the full works, I then took them down to the shop at 8-30 when they opened for the mechanic to swap with the junk ones and do another balance up.
He then had to re-do the electronic ignition that was fitted way out of line, and with half the screws missing
and this is on top of him rebuilding all the starter clutch assembly for me as well.
The outcome of all this is that she flew through her MOT, starts on the button, and is as good and quiet, as any Z1000 they have ever seen in their workshop. The reckon I got a great deal for the money.
Oh happy days.......

As my waterproofs have shrunk in my bike time out and as I decided that I wouldn't ride in the wet, I keep getting soggy jeans! I waited 3/4 of an hour under a m/way bridge last weekend; I gave up, got soaked in a hundred yards and then ten minutes down the road the rain stopped
Praps if I spend some dosh on compact wets to go under the seat it won't rain any more; clearly going riding on sunny dayz without causes the rain!
