Hillbilly, cant remember if the bike has an 8 plug head or not? if not I would think about that,(turbo/nitrous,needs plenty of spark!!) also I notice it has a seperate oil tank/electric pump for the turbo, does the pump still run? BUZZARD

i havent put a battery to it yet,im not sure turning the engine over without the mag on is a good idea,as the lad that took it off might have left it in a timed position, and i dont know what all the switches are for yet. the head is only single plug head,to much money in it to risk owt like turning it over on the battery and fu++ing it up. :?: im taking my time for now so i can get it running without to much damage. :|

when I worked on the bike it was owned by a guy called Richard Prosser from somewhere down in the west country, maybe Bath area, anyway I did a GPZ1100 gearbox conversion for him(same as my two bikes) as i think it had a Z1000/Z1R bottom end ,cant remember now, but they had a habit of blowing second gear apart as you got up near the 150ish HP point!! His best time on that bike was a very creditable 9.25 seconds @ nearly 160MPH and that was in the late eighties, and he got to the finals of the eliminations in USB knockout (1989ish) only to be beaten by i think it was Brian Emery on a turbo/nitrous Suzi GSX1100EFE. still the fastest Kwaker at Superbike's USB event, which beat my best time by 0.25 of a second,(mine was only asperated/nitrous) . BUZZARD. PS have to pull my finger out and get busy rebuilding!!!!

Just wanted to say seeing your bike has made my day.I can remember seeing it in superbike many years ago.and beleve it or not have been thinking about your very bike more recently,as i have always loved the big z and could not forget seeing yours in superbike.I have just bought a gpz1100b1 but that seems tame compaired to your beast  .Do you plan to use it on the road? well whatever you plan i wish you all the best.p.s. can you tell me what issue of superbike it featured in as i would like to try and track one down.Cheers Brian.
